Let us recall the glorious time of the Portuguese Discoveries, through the magnificent Jeronimos Monastery, the Monument to the Discoveries and the Tower of Belém. An informal walk through the Manueline style and by the river.

Located in Belém in the magnificent city of Lisbon, the Padrão dos Descobrimentos was born to honor the elements involved in the process of the Portuguese Discoveries all over the World.

Jerónimos Monastery is the most common name of the so-called Monastery of Santa Maria de Belém. Located at the foot of the Tejo River and the famous Pastéis de Belém, the place draws attention for its magnitude, richness of detail and unique beauty.

The Electricity Museum was an old museum belonging to the EDP Foundation and was located in Avenida de Brasília, Lisbon. It is now integrated into the Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (MAAT).
The MAAT - Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology. Another cultural area for the city of Lisbon.

The 25 de Abril Bridge is a suspension bridge road-rail that connects the city of Lisbon to the city of Almada, in Portugal. The bridge crosses the estuary of the Tejo River in the final and narrower part.

Cais das Colunas is located in Terreiro do Paço, in the historical center of Lisbon. It allowed access to the cacilheiros or other boats, between the Terreiro do Paço and the South Bank of the Tejo river .

The Terreiro do Paço is a square in Baixa de Lisboa, located next to the Tejo river, in the area that was the site of the palace of the kings of Portugal for about two centuries and is now partially occupied by some government departments. It is one of the largest squares in Europe.

The contemporary architecture of the Parque das Nações, the convivial spaces and the entire project of urbanization and urban requalification brought new dynamics to the eastern zone of the city of Lisbon, which in 1990 was still an industrial zone.

The Vasco da Gama Bridge is 12 km long on the Tejo estuary, in the Greater Lisbon area, linking Montijo and Alcochete to Lisbon and Sacavém, very close to Parque das Nações, where Expo 98 was held.

The Bay of Seixal is inserted in the estuary of the Tejo, that extends through the earth through a set of arms of sea that gives it a singular aspect. Classified as a National Ecological Reserve, the Bay and its riverside fronts integrate a wetland of the highest importance at national and European level, due to its high biodiversity and outstanding landscape quality.
